Malachi Presents his work at ISFA 2026 in Japan
Malachi presented his research, “Collaborative Sequential Surface Patterning through Cascaded Ergodic Control and Automatic Task Allocation,” at ISFA 2026 in Japan. His work introduces a collaborative approach for sequential surface patterning by combining cascaded ergodic control with automatic task allocation. The research advances intelligent and coordinated manufacturing processes, enabling multiple systems to efficiently collaborate on complex surface patterning tasks.
The lab has two additional papers presented at the conference: “Fast 360° 3D Metrology for Directed Energy Deposition” (with University of Arizona and presented by James Taylor) and “High-Fidelity Melt Pool Temperature Profile Estimation for Directed Energy Deposition Using Snapshot Hyperspectral Imaging” (presented by Ping Guo).
